NON DESTRUCTIVE ULTRASOUND CARBON BICYCLE FRAME TESTING:
We test potentially damaged frames by non destructive testing (NDT) using a 5mhz ultrasound transducer to surface scan a frame for either crash damage or manufacturing faults.
A Exhaustive frame scan is 2 hour process covering a frame in 6mm wide scans that reveal frame thickness variability and density.
Suspicious areas are marked and examined more closely for delamination.
